Psychosocial aspects of patients with percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy

Abstract:

Perkutánní endoskopická gastrostomie je metodou, kterou lze řešit nutrici u nemocných, kteří z nejrůznějších důvodů nemohou v horizontu více než 6 týdnů přijímat potravu per os. Disertační práce se snaží zmapovat psychosociální aspekty života nemocných s implantovaným PEGem. Zaměřili jsme se na na subjektivní náhled nemocných na finanční situaci a její změny v souvislosti s implantací a trváním PEGu, mobilitu nemocných, dostupnost lékařské péče, spokojenost, rodinné zázemí, sociální zázemí a subjektivní obtíže, jako je spánek, únava a bolest. Nezbytnou částí bylo sledování hodnot BMI zkoumaných nemocných.

Abstract:

Percutaneous endoscopic gastrostomy is a method that can solve nutritional patients who for various reasons can not run in their oral food intake for more than six weeks. Dissertation tries to map the psychosocial aspects of life in patients with implanted PEGem. We focused on the subjective view of patients on the financial position and changes in connection with implantation and duration of PEG, the mobility of patients, access to medical care, welfare, family background, social support and subjective symptoms, such as sleep, fatigue and pain. An essential part was the monitoring of BMI examined patients.
