Abstract:

The topic of the Thesis is the translation of the text dealing with methodology of English. The translation is from English into Czech. The first part is focused on the theory of translation and contains the description of translation types, methods and procedures. This part ends up with the characteristics of styles, espesially popular scientific style as the extract is the example of this style. The second part involves the translation itself. The last chapter describes the analysis of the source and target text and the process of translation on the lexical, grammatical and syntactical level. Finally, the work is complemented by the glossary which provides the explanation of the terms used in the text and their Czech translation and explanations.

Abstract:

Tématem bakalářské práce je překlad textu z oblasti metodiky anglického jazyka. Překlad je z angličtiny do češtiny. První část je věnována teorii překladu, obsahuje popis jednotlivých typů překladu, metodách a překladatelských postupech. Tato část je zakončena charakteristikou jednotlivých stylů, konkrétně pak stylu populárně naučného, neboť překládaný text je příkladem tohoto stylu. Druhá část obsahuje samotný překlad. Poslední část se zabývá analýzou překladu, která popisuje nejen zdrojový text, ale také proces překladu z hlediska lexikálního, gramatického a syntaktického. Práce je doplněna glosářem, který obsahuje termíny použité v textu a poskytuje jejich český překlad a vysvětlení.
