Discriminatory signs workers of municipal offices to persons with disabilities in the Region.

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zaměřuje na diskriminační projevy pracovníků městských úřadů v kraji Vysočina při kontaktu se zdravotně postiženými lidmi. Cílem této práce je zodpovědět otázku: V jakých formách se projevuje diskriminační jednání pracovníků městských úřadů vůči osobám se zdravotním postižením v kraji Vysočina? Teoretická část diplomové práce vychází z několika vydaných publikací Výzkumného centra integrace zdravotně postižených, které kladou v první řadě důraz na rovný přístup k lidem se zdravotním postižením. V první polovině práce je jednak vymezena cílová skupina osob se zdravotním postižením s důrazem na nehomogennost této skupiny, ale i pracovníci městského úřadu, konkrétně Odboru sociálních věcí. Druhá část práce se zaměřuje na práva osob se zdravotním postižením a s tím související legislativu. Na základě těchto kapitol je jasně vymezen pojem diskriminace osob se zdravotním postižením, ale také oblasti, ve kterých nejčastěji k diskriminaci dochází. Metodologická část diplomové práce zdůvodňuje výběr kvantitativní výzkumné strategie a použité techniky sběru dat. V poslední kapitole jsou data vyhodnocena, interpretována a na jejím základě zodpovězeny dílčí výzkumné otázky a poté i hlavní výzkumná otázka doplněná o návrhy na zlepšení situace.

Abstract:

Diploma thesis is focusing on discrimination manifestation towards handicapped people of municipal bureaus employees in Vysocina region. The aim of the thesis is to provide the answer to the question: In what forms we can observe the discrimination behavior of municipal bureaus employees towards handicapped people in Vysocina region? The theoretical part of this diploma thesis is based on several publications that were published by the Research center for integration of the handicapped people. Publications are in the first place focusing on the correct and fair attitude to the handicapped. The first part of this thesis is describing the target group of handicapped with focus on non-homogeneous parts of this group. In this first part there is also description of the municipal bureaus employees, concretely the employees of the Social department. The second part of this thesis is focusing on the rights of handicapped and the legislative side related to these rights. Based on these chapters there is clearly explained the term – discrimination of handicapped, and there are also described the areas where the discrimination behavior happens the most often. The methodology part of this diploma thesis substantiates the choice of quantitive research strategy and also the choice of data mining techniques. In the last chapter there is provided the data evaluation and interpretation. Based on the data there are provided the answers to the partial research question and also answers the main research question enriched of situation improvement suggestions.
