Antecedents of Intention to Invest in Cryptocurrencies in the the Czech Republic

Anotace:

Táto diplomová práca sa zaoberá predchodcami zámeru investovať do kryptomien. Hlavným cieľom práce je zistiť, ktoré faktory významne vplývajú na tento zámer. Teoretická časť obsahuje informácie o fenoméne kryptomien a sumarizuje literatúru relevantnú pre výskum behaviorálnej intencie investovať. Následne, štrukturálny model vyobrazujúci vzťahy medzi latentnými premennými je navrhnutý. Praktická časť, realizovaná na vzorke 121 respondentov z Českých vysokých škôl, zahŕňa aplikáciu pokročilých štatistických metód pre otestovanie tohto modelu.

Abstract:

This master's thesis studies the antecedents of the intention to invest in cryptocurrencies. The main goal of this thesis is to learn which factors significantly influence the intention to invest in cryptocurrencies. The literature review comprises information about the cryptocurrency phenomenon as well as relevant literature about research on intention to invest. Consequently, a structural model that depicts relationships between latent variables is proposed. The analysis part, conducted on a sample of 121 Czech university students, applies advanced statistical methods to test this proposed model.
