Bus Functional Model for testing of Scalable Coherent Interface

Abstract:

Práce se zabývá vytvořením komponenty Scalable Coherent Interface Bus Functional Model (SCIBFM) modelující transakční část Scalable Coherent Interface (SCI) a umožňující efektivnější verifikaci HDL (Hardware Description Language) modelů integrovaných obvodů, které implementují SCI rozhraní. SCIBFM simuluje aktivitu a vzájemnou komunikaci funkcí, které v testovacím prostředí sdílí stejné SCI rozhraní a komunikují přímo či nepřímo přes toto rozhraní s testovaným HDL modelem integrovaného obvodu. SCIBFM vytváří SCI aktivitu na základě aktivity HDL modelů integrovaných obvodů, nastavitelných parametrů, a pseudonáhodných číselných generátorů. Komponenta je napsána v jazyce C++, a s HDL modely mikročipů komunikuje přes SystemVerilog Direct Programming Interface.

Abstract:

This work deals with the creation of a software component Scalable Coherent Interface Bus Functional Model (SCIBFM), which models transaction part of Scalable Coherent Interface (SCI) and can be used for more effective verification of HDL (Hardware Description Language) models of microchips that implement the SCI interface. The SCIBFM simulates bus activity and communications of various functions attached to the SCI interface in a test environment that contains the tested HDL model. It creates bus activity based on the behavior of the HDL model, programmable parameters and pseudorandom number generators. The program was written in C++, and interfaces with the HDL model via SystemVerilog Direct Programming Interface.
