Tato práce analyzuje prvky weird fiction v Tolkienově trilogii Pán prstenů. Práce se zabývá historickým kontextem a tím, jak se mohl odrazit v tvorbě Tolkiena a autorů žánru weird fiction, a také zkoumá to, zda Tolkienova tvorba mohla být tímto žánrem ovlivněna. Abstract:
This Bachelor’s Thesis analyses elements of weird fiction literature in J. R. R. Tolkien’s trilogy The Lord of the Rings. This work examines the historical context and how it could have influenced both Tolkien and authors of weird fiction; it also researches whether Tolkien was familiar with the genre and if his writing could have been influenced by it.
