Letter of credit as a payment instrument

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the documentary letter of credit as a payment instrument, priority used in international trade. The first chapter focuses on theoretical aspects of documentary credit. The chapter analyzes the position of the documentary letter of credit in the payment system, legislative, the various types and forms of letter of credit, the process of the documentary letter of credit transactions and individual relationships. The second chapter focuses on the comparison of documentary letter of credit as a payment instrument in terms of the three selected banks and the third chapter focuses on the evaluation of findings and offers us suggestions.

Abstract:

Bakalárska práca sa zaoberá skúmaním dokumentárneho akreditívu ako platobného nástroja používaného prioritne v medzinárodnom obchode. Prvá kapitola je zameraná na teoretické aspekty dokumentárneho akreditívu. Rozoberá jeho postavenie v rámci platobného styku, legislatívnu úpravu, jeho jednotlivé typy a formu, ako aj priebeh akreditívnej operácie a jednotlivé v nej vznikajúce vzťahy. Druhá kapitola je zameraná na komparáciu dokumentárneho akreditívu ako platobného nástroja v podmienkach troch vybraných bánk a tretia kapitola je zameraná na zhodnotenie zistených skutočností a prináša návrhy z nich vyplývajúce.
