Spending leisure time on social networks among older school-age children

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Trávení volného času na sociálních sítích u dětí staršího školního věku“ je rozdělena na část teoretickou a empirickou. V teoretické části se zabývám definicí volného času, faktory výběru volnočasových aktivit u dospívajících, a nakonec trávení volného času dospívajících. Dále se práce zaměřuje na sociální sítě a vybraná rizika spojená s jejich užíváním. Poslední kapitola teoretické části definuje cílovou skupinu práce, a to především z pohledu vývojových úkolů podstatných pro tuto vývojovou etapu, dále se zabývá trávením volného času dospívajících na sociálních sítích. V empirické části jsou prezentována data výzkumného šetření. Pro samotný sběr dat byl zvolen kvantitativní přístup realizován za pomocí online dotazníkového šetření. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak dospívající tráví na sociálních sítích svůj volný čas, tedy to, jakým aktivitám se na sociálních sítích věnují a jak často, jaké sociální sítě používají a kolik svého volného času věnují sociálním sítím. Dále práce zjišťuje, na které sociální síti tráví dospívající nejvíce svého času, jakým aktivitám se na sociálních sítích častěji věnují chlapci, jakým dívky a s jakým negativním jevem spojeným s užíváním sociálních sítích se největší podíl dospívajících setkává denně.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis "Spending leisure time on social networks among school-age children" is divided into theoretical and empirical parts. The theoretical part deals with the definition of leisure time, factors, the choice of leisure activities in adolescents and finally the leisure time of adolescents. Furthermore, the thesis focuses on social networks and selected risks associated with their use. The last chapter of the theoretical part defines the target group of the thesis, especially in terms of developmental tasks relevant to this developmental stage, and then discusses adolescents' leisure time spending on social networks. The empirical part presents the data of the research investigation. For the actual data collection, a quantitative approach was chosen, implemented using an online questionnaire survey. The aim of the study is to find out how adolescents spend their free time on social networks, i.e. what activities they engage in on social networks and how often, what social networks they use and how much of their free time they devote to social networks. The thesis also investigates which social network teens spend most of their time on, what activities boys and girls engage in more often on social networks, and what negative phenomenon associated with social network use the largest proportion of teens encounter daily.
