Employment of Ukrainian citizens in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Vzhledem k tomu, že míra nezaměstnanosti v České republice se stále udržuje nízko a na trhu práce je nedostatek kvalifikované pracovní síly, čeští zaměstnavatelé jsou nuceni poptávat pracovníky ze zahraničí. V důsledku dlouholetých migračních vztahů a již získaných zkušeností se zaměstnáváním Ukrajinců, jsou to právě oni, o jejichž příchod má Česká republika zájem. Práce se zabývá problematikou zaměstnávání Ukrajinců na území České republiky. Klade si za cíl rozebrat konkrétní možnosti zaměstnávání občanů Ukrajiny v České republice a zjistit jejich výhody a nevýhody pro zaměstnance a zaměstnavatele. Dílčím cílem práce je představit programy ekonomické migrace a zjistit povědomí občanů Ukrajiny o těchto programech. Na teoretické zpracování problematiky navazuje výzkumná část, ve které je použita metoda dotazníkového šetření. Výstup z dotazníkového šetření by měl doplnit obecnou teorii a sloužit pro srovnání problematiky z teoretického a praktického hlediska.

Abstract:

Due to the fact that the unemployment rate in the Czech Republic is still kept low and there is a shortage of skilled labour in the labour market, Czech employers are forced to demand workers from abroad. As a result of the long-standing migration relations and the experience gained with the employment of Ukrainians, they are the ones whose arrival the Czech Republic is interested in. The bachelor thesis deals with the issue of the employment of Ukrainians in the Czech Republic. It aims to analyse specific employment opportunities of Ukrainians in the Czech Republic and to identify their advantages and disadvantages for employees and employers. A partial aim of the thesis is to present economic migration programmes and to determine the awareness of Ukrainian citizens about these programmes. The theoretical treatment of the issue is followed by the research part, in which the questionnaire survey method is used. The output of the questionnaire survey should complement the general theory and serve to compare the issues from the theoretical and practical points of view.
