Usability of recycled wood in relation to the properties of OSB boards

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou využití recyklovaného dřeva při výrobě OSB desek. Zkoumán je vliv recyklátu na fyzikální a mechanické vlastnosti výsledné OSB desky při určitém obsahu. První část této práce se zabývá charakteristikou OSB desek, jejich využitím a následně jejich typy. Následně je popsána i technologie výroby OSB desek a vliv recyklátu na fyzikální a mechanické vlastnosti. Druhá část práce se zabývá materiálem a metodikou jednotlivých zkoušek a následně jejich výsledky. Na testovaných tělískách byly provedeny zkoušky za účelem zjištění vlhkosti, hustotního profilu, tloušťkového bobtnání dle ČSN EN 317, tloušťkového bobtnání dle ASTM, rozlupčivosti, meze pevnosti v ohybu (MOR) a modulu pružnosti v ohybu (MOE). Přídavek recyklátu do 30 % z celkového obsahu má pozitivní vliv na výsledné vlastnosti.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis deals with the problem of using recycled wood in the production of OSB. The influence of recyclate on the physical and mechanical properties of the resulting OSB at a certain content is investigated. The first part of this thesis deals with the characteristics of OSB boards, their utilizations and their types. Subsequently, the OSB production technology and the influence of recyclate on the individual physical and mechanical properties are also described. The second part of the thesis deals with used material and the methodology of individual tests and then their results. Examinations were performed in order to determine moisture content, density profile, thickness swelling according to EN 317, thickness swelling according to ASTM, internal bond, modulus of rupture (MOR) and modulus of elasticity in bending (MOE). The addition of recyclate up to 30 % of the total content has a positive effect on the resulting properties.
