The multidisciplinary rehabilitation of a patient with unilateral transfemoral amputation following a road accident: clinical case
Abstract:
The study demonstrates the need to have transfemoral amputation cases followed by a multidisciplinary team expert in all phases of therapeutic and rehabilitative intervention, starting from the preoperative moment and up to complete rehabilitation. It also stresses the importance of continuity of care between discharge from the hospital and a specialist rehabilitation facility.
Abstract:
Lo studio dimostra la necessita di far seguire i casi di amputazione trans femorale da una équipe multidisciplinare esperta in tutte le fasi di intervento terapeutico e riabilitativo, gi? dal momento preoperatorio e fino alla riabilitazione completa. Sottolinea inoltre l'importanza di una continuit? assistenziale tra la dimissione dall'ospedale e una struttura specialistica riabilitativa.
