Palliative Care for Hospice Patients from the View of Direct Care Workers

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce s názvem "Péče v hospici pohledem pracovníků přímé péče" se zabývá přímou péčí v hospicovém zařízení. Teoretická část popisuje základní pojmy jako je hospic, paliativní péče, smrt a umírání, dále uvádí formy hospicové péče. Definuje charakteristiku pečovatelství, jeho cíle a činnosti. Podrobněji se zabývá potřebami umírajících a pozůstalých. Práce dále popisuje zátěž přímých pracovníků, zdravotně sociální pracovníky a canisterapii v rámci paliativní péče. Cílem praktické části je zjistit, zda klienti a pracovníci v hospicovém zařízení vnímají canisterapii jako součást léčby klientů.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis titled "Care in a hospice from the point of view of a direct care work-er" deals with direct care in a public hospice establishment. The theoretical part describes basic concepts such as hospice, palliative care, death and dying, as well as the forms of hospice care. The thesis defines the characteristics of such care, its objectives and activities. It deals in more detail with the needs of the dying and their survivors. The thesis also describes the load on direct care and social workers in the framework of palliative care. The aim of the practical part is to determine whether the clients and workers of a hospice establishment perceive palliative care as part of the treatment of the clients.
