Viewpoint of expecting mothers and midwife on natural childbirth

Abstract:

Cíl: Cílem diplomové práce je zjistit rozdíly porodů mezi rodičkami bez odborných znalostí porodních asistentek a rodičkami s odbornými znalostmi porodních asistentek. Metodika: Výzkum tvořilo 230 respondentek. Ke sběru dat byly použity dva druhy dotazníků. Oba typy dotazníků zjišťovaly zájem rodiček o přirozený porod, a jak jejich porod ve skutečnosti probíhal. Dotazník pro rodičky - porodní asistentky byl rozšířen o profesní otázky z oboru. Výzkum probíhal od ledna do dubna roku 2013. Výsledky: Z výzkumného šetření vyplývá, že porodní asistentky užívaly farmaka k tišení bolesti více než druhá skupina respondentek a měly větší možnost samostatného výběru polohy. Zdravotnický personál nabízel výrazně více rodičkám - porodním asistentkám farmaka k tišení bolesti a podstatně častěji doporučoval polohu ve druhé době porodní respondentkám bez odborných znalostí porodních asistentek. V celkovém souboru většina rodiček odpověděla, že měla přirozený porod. Skutečně přirozeně rodilo po odečtení všech ovlivnění, po kterých se nejedná o přirozený porod méně jak čtvrtina domnělých respondentek. Pozitivní názor na budoucnost přirozeného porodu sdílí většina rodiček. Závěr: Osobní porodní zkušenost z porodu vlastního dítěte se u dotazovaných skupin respondentek liší. Zdravotnický personál přistupuje k rodičkám - porodním asistentkám a k rodičkám bez odborných znalostí porodních asistentek rozdílně. V hodnocení vlastního porodu mezi skupinami respondentek je rozdíl. Rodičky - porodní asistentky jsou v hodnocení porodu vlastního dítěte více kritické. Obě skupiny respondentek se shodují na pozitivní budoucnosti přirozeného porodu a jejich názor nebyl ovlivněn věkem ani paritou.

Abstract:

Objective: The main goal of this diploma thesis is to find out differences between childbirth of mothers that do not have expertise of midwifes and mothers that have expertise with midwifery. Methods: This research was build up by 230 respondents. For gather of information were used two kinds of questioners. Both kinds of questioners were searching for mothers? interest in natural birth, and how their childbirth actually happened. The questioner for mothers-midwifes was expanded of profession questions of this field. The research was carried out in the period from January till April 2013. Results: The research shows that midwives have taken drug to relieve pain more than the other group of respondents and had a greater possibility to choose their own position. Medical personnel offered significantly more drug to relieve pain to the woman in labour - midwives and significantly more likely recommend the position in the second stage of the labor to the respondents without the expertise of midwives. In total summary majority of woman in labour responded, that they were giving birth naturally. In reality after the deduction of all influences after which it is not a natural childbirth, only less than quarter of respondents. A positive view on the future of natural childbirth has majority of woman in labor. Conclusion: Personal birthing experience of giving birth to own child varies for questioned groups of respondents. Medical staff approaches differently women in labor - midwives and women in labor without expertise of midwifes. There is a difference in self-reflection of own childbirth between both groups of respondents. Women in labour - midwives are rating their own child birth more critical. Both groups of respondents agree on the positive future of natural birth and their opinion was not influenced by age or parity.
