Concept of the use of the stakeholder approach in the strategic analysis

Abstract:

Cílem disertační práce „Návrh využití stakeholderského přístupu při strategické analýze podniku“ je „navrhnout metodiku využití stakeholderské analýzy jako nástroje strategické analýzy“. Za tímto účelem je tedy nejprve prozkoumán vývoj a současný stav stakeholderské teorie, následně jsou na empirických datech zkoumány faktory důležitosti generických stakeholderských skupin a poté jsou tyto poznatky využity k formulaci postupu stakeholderské analýzy tak, aby byla ve strategické analýze co možná nejprospěšnější. Přínosem práce je nejen samotný návrh metodiky, ale také vyhodnocení faktorů důležitosti stakeholderů na základě empirického šetření ve 432 podnicích, a to pomocí jak bivariačních technik, tak učících se metod statistického rozpoznávání obrazů – sekvenčního dopředného plovoucího výběru.

Abstract:

The goal of the submitted thesis “Concept of the use of the stakeholder approach in the strategic analysis” is to propose procedure of stakeholder analysis as a tool of strategic analysis. The development and contemporary state of stakeholder theory are analyzed in the first part of the thesis, than there are used empirical data to research factors of importance of generic stakeholder groups and finally this knowledge is used to suggest the stakeholder analysis procedure in such way, which would benefit the strategic analysis the most. The contribution of this thesis rests not only in the proposed concept, but also in the evaluation of stakeholder importance factors and in the way the potential factors were evaluated. There was used a self-learning method of statistical pattern recognition called sequential forward floating search on a 432 companies sample.
