Menthal resistence, subjective health and satisfaction of life of a social workers.

Abstract:

Cílem této bakalářské práce je provést pojmovou a teoretickou analýzu fenoménu psychické odolnosti, subjektivního zdraví a životní spokojenosti a na jejím základě realizovat výzkum úrovní těchto fenoménů u vybraného souboru sociálních pracovníků a identifikovat u této profese souvislosti sledovaných fenoménů. Vzhledem k specifičnosti práce sociálních pracovníků se uvedená práce pokouší srovnat zkoumané jevy s pracovníky nepomáhajících profesí. Teoretická část se zaměřuje na vysvětlení daných fenoménů a snaží se poukázat na značné souvislosti daných jevů. Výzkumná šetření byla realizována za použití dotazníku smyslu pro soudržnost Aarona Antonovského, škály somatických potíží Bernského dotazníku subjektivní pohody pro identifikaci úrovně subjektivního zdraví a dotazníku životní spokojenosti autorů Jochena Fahrenberga, Michaela Myrteka, Jörga Schumacheara a Elmaara Brählera. Na základě provedeného výzkumu u souboru sociálních pracovníků (N=97) a nepomáhajících profesí (N=69) bylo zjištěno, že statisticky signifikantně se uvedené komparované skupiny liší především ve smyslu pro soudržnost (konkrétně v celkovém skóru SOC a dále ve škálách zvládnutelnosti situace a smysluplnosti). V úrovních subjektivního zdraví a životní spokojenosti mezi zkoumanými soubory nebyly zaznamenány statisticky signifikantní rozdíly. Nicméně se na základě srovnání průměrných skórů všech fenoménů dá konstatovat, že sociální pracovníci dosahovali nižších skórů ve všech jevech kromě subjektivního zdraví, kde skórují sociální pracovníci se zanedbatelně vyšším výsledkem lépe. Další analýza prokázala, že dimenze SOC a jeho celkový skór významněji koreluje se subjektivním zdravím a životní spokojeností pouze u pracovníků nepomáhajících profesí. Zároveň se ukázalo, že u nepomáhajících profesí jsou dvě ze tří dimenzí SOC (srozumitelnost a zvládnutelnost situace) a celkový smysl pro soudržnost signifikantním prediktorem životní spokojenosti. Škála zvládnutelnosti situace se u nepomáhajících profesí potvrdila taktéž jako prediktor subjektivního zdraví, stejně jako celkové SOC. Výsledky také poukazují na velké korelace životní spokojenosti a subjektivního zdraví u obou výzkumných souborů, kde se životní spokojenost manifestovala jako významný prediktor subjektivního zdraví s variabilitou závislé proměnné 56,2 %. Regrese postupných kroků pak stanovila model nejlepších prediktorů, kde spokojenost s finanční situací, vlastní osobou a volným časem predikovala 27 % variability závislé proměnné.

Abstract:

The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyse (in theory and in the concepts) the mental resistance, the subjective health and the life satisfaction and on this theoretical ground to realize a research of these phenomena in a group of the social workers and to identify the possible correlations of these phenomena. Because of the work specificity of the social workers, we decided to make the comparison of these phenomena with a group of the non-helping professions. The theoretical part of this bachelor thesis tries to explain these phenomena and (tries to) point out the significant correlations of these phenomena. The research was implemented with the use of the questionnaire of the sense of coherence by Aaron Antonovsky, the scale of the somatic problems of the Bern Questionnaire of subjective well-being to identificate a level of the subjective health and the questionnaire of the life satisfaction of the authors Jochen Fahrenberg, Michael Myrtek, Jörg Schumachear and Elmaar Brähler. Our findings shows that in the group of the social workers (N=97) and the group of the non-helping professions (N=69), there are significant differences in the sense of coherence category (specifically in the scale of comprehensibility of the situation and in the scale of the situation managebility). In the level of the subjective health and the life satisfaction, there are not any significant differences. Nevertheless, we can prenounce that the group of the social workers had lower vaule in all phenomena except the subjective health, because of a insignificantly better values. The next analysis showed that the dimensions of the SOC and the total value of this scale is significantly correlating with the subjective health and the life satisfaction only in the group of the non-helping professions. Simaltaneously, we find out that in the group of the non-helping professions, there are two of the three dimensions (comprehensibility and managebility of a situation) and the total SOC the significant predictors of the life satisfaction in the group of the non-helping professions. The scale of the managebility of a situation demonstrated as a significant predictor of the life satisfaction, the same way as the total SOC. The results showed that there are significant correlations between the life satisfaction and the subjective health in both of the groups, where the life satisfaction figures as a significant predictor of the subjective health with variability 56,2 % of the dependent value. The forward regression determined a model of the best predictors, where the money satisfaction, the own personal satisfaction and the satisfaction with the free time predicted 27 % of variability of the dependent value.
