The Château d'If

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis "Le Château d'If" deals with the French cultural monument - the Fortress d´If. The thesis consists of two main parts, namely the general description of the Fortress d´If and the picture of the Fortress d´If in literature, namely in the novel The Count of Monte Cristo written by Alexandre Dumas. The thesis compares the reality with the myth and evaluates the importance of this place in the past and in the present.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce "Le Château d'If" se zabývá francouzskou kulturní památkou pevností d´If. Práce se skládá ze dvou hlavních částí a to z obecného popisu pevnosti d´If a obrazu pevnosti d´If v literatuře v románu Alexandra Dumase Hrabě Monte-Cristo. Práce srovnává realitu s mýtem a hodnotí význam tohoto místa v minulosti a v současnosti.
