Financial controls as a part of an automated process support

Abstract:

Hlavním cílem této práce je zvýšit efektivitu a kvalitu finanční kontroly ve společnosti.Tato práce je rozdělena do tří částí, jako je teoretická, analytická a praktická část. V teoretické části autor začíná popisem interního auditu, prezentuje rozdíly mezi vnitřním auditem a kontrolou, definuje vnitřní kontrolu a různé její typy. Poté jsou popsány funkce Řízení podnikových procesů (BPM), hlavní cíle, klíčové zainteresované strany a životní cyklus. Na závěr této části se autor soustředí na přezkoumání klíčových mezinárodních standardů a metodik. V analytické části se autor zaměřuje spíše na popis společnosti, po němž následují příslušné předpisy a metodiky společností. Tato část také uvádí procesní mapu společnosti a vybrané divize. V praktické části autor analyzuje a modeluje pět procesů (2 automatizované a 3 manuální) v rámci společnosti a poskytuje zlepšení vybraných manuálních procesů.Výstupem diplomové práce je zlepšení vybraných procesů, které naznačují možnost zvýšit efektivitu a kvalitu finanční kontroly v organizaci. Tedy slouží vedení společnosti.

Abstract:

The main goal of this thesis is to increase effectiveness and to improve efficiency and quality of financial control in the organization. This thesis is divided into three parts, such as the theoretical, analytical, and practical part. In theoretical part, author starts with the internal audit description, presents the differences between internal audit and controls, defines the internal control, and its different types. Then, Business Process Management, BPM's main goals, key interested parties, and lifecycle are described. At the conclusion of this part, author concentrates on reviewing key international standards and methodologies. In analytical part, author focuses more on a company description, followed by appropriate regulations and frameworks adopted by the company. Also, this part introduces the company's process map and selected division. In practical part, author analyzes and models five processes (2 automated and 3 manual) within the company and provides the improvements to the selected manual processes.The output of the Master thesis is the improvements of selected processes, that indicate the possibility to increase effectiveness and to improve efficiency and quality of financial control in the organization. Thus serves the management of the company.
