Shifts in Austria's Neutrality after the End of the Cold War. The Neutrality of Austria in the Context of the EU-Admission and the Public Discourse
Abstract:
Anotace: Rakouská trvalá neutralita doznala po pádu železné opony v souvislosti se vstupem do EU značných proměn. Přesto, že původní význam neutrality byl vyprázdněn, zůstává nadále zachována jako prvek rakouské národní identity. Cílem této bakalářské práce je na základě vývoje rakouské neutrality poukázat na odlišnosti mezi její podobou v současnosti v roce 1955.
Abstract:
Annotation: The Austrian permanent neutrality was, due to the fall of the Iron curtain and joining of the EU, substantially transformed. Even though the original meaning of neutrality was no longer true, it is still playing a major role in Austrian national identity.
