Prefernce of pregnant women to the obstetrician (doctor vs. midwife) - comparison of wishes of primiparous and multiparous

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce je zaměřena na preference rodiček ohledně porodníka, jeho vzdělání, profese a vlastností. Hlavním cílem bylo zjistit přání rodiček ohledně osoby, která přivede jejich dítě na svět a porovnat rozdíly mezi přáním prvorodiček a vícerodiček. V teoretické části se zabýváme historií porodnictví, vzděláním lékařů i porodních asistentek a jejich profesními organizacemi. Dále je kapitola o porodu samotném a jeho průběhu. Nakonec popisujeme místa, kde může žena porodit. Ke sběru dat jsme použili dotazník. Jako respondenty jsme volili těhotné ženy, bez omezení stádia těhotenství, věku či vzdělání. Mezi respondenty bylo 44 prvorodiček a 56 vícerodiček. Vyhodnocení dotazníků ukázalo, že prvorodičky upřednostňují u porodu lékaře a argumentují větším pocitem jistoty, naopak vícerodičky chtějí porod pouze s porodní asistentkou. V závěru jsou potvrzeny hypotézy, které jsme si stanovili. Také je zde uvedeno, že práce by mohla zajímat porodní asistentky, pro které je důležité rozvíjení oboru.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis is focused on preferences of expectant mothers regarding obstetrician, his education, profession and qualities. The main goal was to find out the wishes of the expectant mothers about the person who would bring their child into the world and to compare the differences between the wishes of primiparous women and multiracial women. In the theoretical part We deal with the history of obstetrics, with education of both doctors and midwives and their vocational organizations. Farther there is the chapter on childbirth itself and its course. Finally, we describe places where a woman can give birth. To collect facts, we used the questionnaire. As respondents, we chose pregnant women, regardless of the stage of pregnancy, age or education. Among the respondents, there were 44 primiparas and 56 multipedes. The evaluation of the questionnaires showed that primiparas prefer a doctor to give birth and argue with a greater sense of confidence, reversely multiparas wants only midwife. In conclusion there are confirmed hypotheses, which we set. It is also stated that the work could be interesting for midwives, for whom it is important to develop field.
