Family life and culture in Denmark from the perspective of Czech women married to Danes

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá rodinným životem v Dánsku a místní kulturou, jež ho ovlivňuje. Teoretická část práce pojednává o rodině a mezinárodním manželství, zároveň se věnuje i kultuře a popisuje rysy české a dánské kultury v oblasti stylu života, ale i výchovy. Metodologická část této práce předkládá interpretaci dat získaných pomocí kvalitativní výzkumnou strategií. Výzkum se zaměřuje na interpretaci a vnímání rodinného života v Dánsku z pohledu českých žen žijících v Kodani, které jsou provdány za Dány.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis engages in problems of family life in Denmark and local culture which influences it. The theoretical part focuses on the topic of family and transnational marriage, as well as culture. At the same time it also describes features of both Czech and Danish culture in terms of life style and education. The methodological part is based on interpreting the data obtained using qualitative research strategy. The research focuses on the interpretation and perception of family life in Denmark from the perspective of Czech women living in Copenhagen who are married to Danes.
