German history in the teaching of German. Real and speciality teaching on the example of government by Maria Theresa.

Abstract:

The bachelor thesis “German history in the teaching of German. Real and speciality teaching on the example of government by Maria Theresa“ (The bachelor thesis in German: „Deutsche Geschichte im DaF-Unterricht. Fach- und Sachunterricht am Beispiel der Regierungszeit Maria Theresias“) focuses on teaching German language with CLIL method (Content and Language Integrated Learning) i.e. approach which integrates content thus teaching the subject and the language. It is an approach for teaching the content with thematic subject through foreign language, which focuses on so-called integrated learning of language and non-language subject. This teaching approach has been already applied within some special subjects e.g. on primary and secondary schools with extended foreign language education and on gymnasiums and colleges (e.g. college of travel movement, college of library science etc.). Worldwide, CLIL approach proved its worth primarily in advanced education (colleges, universities). In my thesis, I chose teaching of German language integrated with History. Theoretical part focuses on reign of Maria Theresa. In the narrow sense, I focused on her reformer activities and pointed out one of the Theresa’s reforms, which became milestone of development of Bohemia and Austria – reform of land register. In practical part, I developed the key theme by means of didactic exercises for teaching German and special language. Exercises focus mainly on vocabulary and special language and they are drawn up in different levels of difficulty, whereas writing, reading and listening are applied as teaching principles. Presented exercises are only small examples; in fact the chosen theme offers other possibilities such as text content analysis and/or morphological and lexicological analysis. It is possible to apply various forms of teaching – individual and class or more intensive teaching, for example selected project processing in foreign language and integration of other special subjects. The aim of my bachelor thesis is the acquirement of German language targeting special vocabulary from the History. My thesis is conceived as an objective for prospective pupils and students, who would like to study and work abroad. From my point of view, good language skills together with expertise open the boundaries to studies and work on integrated European job market not only to pupils and students.

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce „Deutsche Geschichte im DaF-Unterricht. Fach- und Sachunterricht am Beispiel der Regierungszeit Maria Theresias“ je zaměřena na výuku německého jazyka metodou CLIL (Content and Language Integrated Learning) tj. metodou integrace obsahového resp. věcného a jazykového vzdělávání. Jde o společnou výuku předmětu s tematickým zaměřením a cizího jazyka, která je zaměřena na tzv. integrované osvojování jazyka a nejazykového učiva. Tento typ výuky je již aplikován v rámci některých odborných předmětů například na základních i středních školách s rozšířenou výukou cizího jazyka a na gymnáziích a na odborných školách (např. odborná škola cestovního ruchu, odborná škola knihovnická a pod.). Celosvětově se metoda CLIL osvědčila především v rámci terciálního vzdělávání (vyšší odborné školy, univerzity). Pro svoji práci jsem si zvolila výuku německého jazyka s integrací předmětu dějepis. Teoretická část je zaměřena na období panování Marie Terezie. V užším smyslu jsem se zaměřila na její reformátorskou činnost a blíže vyzdvihla jednu z tereziánských reforem, která se stala historickým mezníkem ve vývoji českých zemí a Rakouska - reformu katastrů. V praktické části jsem klíčové téma reforem a katastru zpracovala formou didaktických cvičení pro výuku německého a odborného jazyka. Cvičení jsou zaměřena především na slovní zásobu a na odborné výrazy a jsou vypracována v různých stupních obtížnosti, přičemž jsou zde jako princip výuky uplatněny psaní, čtení a poslech. Uvedená cvičení jsou pouze malým příkladem, ve skutečnosti skýtá vybrané téma další možnosti jako je obsahová analýza textů a/ nebo morfologický či lexikologický rozbor. Při výuce je možné aplikovat různé formy výuky - individuální i skupinovou nebo náročnější výuku, jako například projektové zpracování zvoleného tématu v cizím jazyce a integrací dalších odborných předmětů. Cílem mojí bakalářské práce je osvojování německého jazyka se zaměřením na odbornou slovní zásobu z oblasti historie. Svoji práci jsem pojala jako podnět pro potencionální žáky a studenty, kteří by rádi studovali a pracovali v zahraničí. Z mého pohledu dobrá jazyková vybavenost a zároveň odbornost otevírá nejen žákům a studentům hranice ke studiu a pracovnímu uplatnění na jednotném evropském trhu.
