Risk analysis of the strategic business plan of the company Mileta a.s.

Abstract:

Cílem této diplomové práce je formulace strategického podnikatelského záměru a sestavení finančního plánu na období 2018-2020 pro podnik Mileta a.s. a následná identifikace a vyhodnocení rizik s ním spojených. Teoreticko-metodologická část práce představuje základní pojmy a metody spojené se strategickým management a managementem rizik. V praktické části je provedena analýza okolí podniku s cílem identifikace vnitřních a vnějších rizikových faktorů. Prioritizace rizik je provedena na základě SWOT analýzy. Zároveň jsou sestaveny 4 kvalitativní scénáře budoucnosti. V další části práce je sestaven finanční plán dle strategického záměru, který je současně podkladem pro provedení simulace Monte Carlo. Z výsledků analýzy citlivosti je patrné, že nejvýznamnější rizikové faktory jsou volatilita měnových kurzů, očekávaný růst tržeb a doba obratu pohledávek. Závěry simulace naznačují, že lze s vysokou pravděpodobností očekávat splněných obou 2 vytyčených strategických cílů společnosti.

Abstract:

The aim of the Master’s thesis is to compile strategic business plan for the period 2018-2020 of the company Mileta a.s. and the subsequent identification and evaluation of risks associated with the business plan. The theoretical and methodological part presents the basic concepts and methods associated with strategic management and risk management. The practical part starts with the analysis of the company's environment with the aim to identify internal and external risk factors. Risk prioritization is based on SWOT analysis. At the same time, four qualitative scenarios of the future are compiled. In the next part of the thesis, a financial plan is compiled according to the strategic intention, which is also the basis for the Monte Carlo simulation. The sensitivity analysis shows that the most significant risk factors are currency exchange rate volatility, expected revenue growth and receivables turnover. The simulation's conclusions suggest that both of the company's strategic objectives can be expected to be met with high probability.
