Abstract:

Práce se zabývá vlivem genderové diverzity vrcholového managementu na finanční a sociální výkonnost podniku se zaměřením na FMCG sektor. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda mají ženy ve vrcholovém managementu společností vliv na jejich finanční a nefinanční výkonnost. V teoretickém rámci je tato problematika zkoumána na úrovni literární rešerše aktuálních výzkumů. Postupně je rozebírána problematika z pohledu jednotlivých empirických studií, které byly vybrány k analýze na základě jejich relevance z hlediska metod výzkumu, časových oken, vzorků a proměnných. Dále je provedena vlastní analýza na příkladu společnosti Unilever ČR, která byla pro účely splnění cíle diplomové práce zvolena. Nejprve je pojednáno o představení společnosti a do detailu je rozebrána její strategie z hlediska rovnosti, diverzity a inkluze. Na základě dostupných dat je potom provedena analýza s cílem zjistit, zda ženy ve vrcholovém managementu společnosti Unilever ČR měly vliv na vybrané ukazatele finanční výkonnosti v letech 2016-2022. Také je vyhodnocen dotazník spokojenosti zaměstnanců, na jehož základě se práce snaží najít souvislosti mezi výsledky dílčích okruhů dotazníku a podílem respondentek. V závěru jsou uvedena příslušná doporučení.

Abstract:

The thesis addresses the impact of top management's gender diversity on a company's financial and social performance, with an emphasis on the FMCG industry. The purpose of the thesis is to determine whether having women in top management affects company's financial and non-financial performance. The theoretical framework evaluates this issue using a literature review of recent studies. The subject is gradually explored through the lens of a number of empirical studies that were picked for examination due to their applicability in terms of research methodologies, time frames, samples, and variables. Furthermore, analysis is carried out using the example of Unilever ČR. First, the introduction of the company is discussed as well as its strategy in terms of equality, diversity and inclusion. Based on the available data, an analysis is conducted to determine whether women in the top management of Unilever CR had an impact on selected financial performance indicators in the period 2016-2022. The evaluation of an employee satisfaction survey is also used as a foundation for the thesis, which seeks to establish links between the percentage of female respondents and the results of the survey's subheadings. The thesis concludes with relevant recommendations.
