The importance of cycling infrastructure in the development of cities and regions

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou jedné z měkkých forem dopravy, a to cyklistickou dopravou, která je nedílnou součástí dopravního systému. Práce je rozdělena na část teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části jsou vysvětleny pojmy region, regionální rozvoj, doprava a cyklodoprava a její infrastruktura. Praktická část je zaměřena na analýzu a hodnocení dopravy, cyklodopravy a cykloopatření ve městech Hradec Králové, Pardubice a Olomouc. Jsou zde analyzována jednotlivá cyklistická opatření, propojená s daty ze sčítacích profilů v jednotlivých městech.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with one of the soft forms of transport, which is cycling transport, an integral part of the transport system. The thesis is divided into a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part explains the concepts of a region, regional development, transport and cycling transport with its infrastructure. The practical part is focused on an analysis and evaluation of transport, cycling transport and cycling arrangements it the towns of Hradec Králové, Pardubice and Olomouc. Individual cycling arrangements, interconnected with the data from integrated profiles in individual towns, are analysed here.
