Crisis situations and stress as an associated factor in the police practice

Abstract:

Práce je sondou do problematiky krizových situací u policie, komunikace, jež je doprovází, a stresu jako průvodního faktoru těchto vysoce zátěžových situací, především u Speciální pořádkové jednotky jako útvaru se specifickým zaměřením v rámci Policie České republiky a složky Integrovaného zachraného systemu. Je zde obecně objasněn pojem krize, krizová situace a stres, jehož přítomnost je doprovodnou složkou prakticky veškeré policejní práce. Teoretická část je zpracována zejména z odborné literatury, vlastních zkušeností, dále z podkladů policejních psychologů a pojednává o stresu všeobecně, ale i se zaměřením na specifické oblasti policejní práce. Závěr práce obsahuje celkové shrnutí a návrh na zlepšení přípravy policistů na významné celosvětové události, které májí policejní složky spoluzajišťovat tak, aby psychická zátěž policistů byla optimální.

Abstract:

This work is a probe into the problemacy of crisis situations within the police, into a communication, which is following them and a stress as the factor of these very difficult situations, especially by the Special Riot Police Unit which is a specialized unit within the Police of the Czech Republic and a part of the Integrated Rescue System. There is a general explanation of the term crisis, crisis situation and stress there, which is an part of the police job. Theoretical part of the work is compiled mainly from science literature, own experiences, further it is based on works of police psychologists and deals with a stress in general but also focused to specialised fields of the police work. The conclusion of the work contains a general summary and a proporsal how to improve the training of police officers on important world events which the police has to secure but with an optimal mental stress for the officers.
