Pupils´ attitudes towards individuals with special educational needs

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou postojů žáků druhého stupně základních škol vůči jedincům se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami. Cílem práce je identifikovat příčiny kladných a záporných postojů žáků vůči jedincům s postižením. Výzkumným problémem je zjistit souvislost mezi postoji žáků a vybranými faktory jako jsou věk, pohlaví a osobní zkušenost. V teoretické části je provedena rešerše odborné literatury, zejména se jedná o rozbor faktorů ovlivňujících postoje a přístupy k osobám s postižením, o vymezení pojmu žák se speciálními vzdělávacími potřebami a o charakteristiku probíhající inkluze v České republice. Empirická část popisuje kvantitativní šetření, realizované na výzkumném vzorku žáků 6. a 9. ročníků vybraných základních škol Královéhradeckého kraje. Data jsou získána pomocí nestandardizovaného dotazníku a vyhodnocena zejména nástroji induktivní statistiky. Součástí práce jsou konkrétní závěry a doporučení pro speciálně pedagogickou praxi.

Abstract:

The thesis deals with the issues of attitudes of the primary school students in presence of individuals with special educational needs. The aim of the thesis is to identify the causes of positive and negative attitudes of pupils´ towards individuals with the disorders. The part of the research is to find a link between pupils´ attitudes and selected factors such as age, gender and personal experience. The research of professional literature is carried out in the theoretical part of the thesis, and it particularly provides analyses of factors affecting the attitudes and approaches to people with disabilities, a description of the definition "a pupil with the special educational needs" and the characteristics of the ongoing inclusion in the Czech Republic region. The empirical part describes a quantitative survey carried out throughout the research sample of pupils attending the 6th and 9th grades of selected primary schools in the Hradec Králové region. The information details are obtained by non-standardized questionnaire, and they are evaluated mainly by inductive statistics tools. The specific conclusions and recommendations for the special pedagogical practice are included in the thesis.
