The relationship between the development of macroeconomics indicators and the development of retail businesses in the Czech Republic

Abstract:

Cílem diplomové práce „Vztah mezi vývojem makroekonomických ukazatelů a vývojem retailových podniků v České republice“ je porovnání vývoje jednotlivých vybraných makroekonomických a mikroekonomických ukazatelů a vyjádření těsnosti vazby mezi nimi. Nejdříve jsou vysvětlené teoretické aspekty jednotlivých makroekonomických ukazatelů a následně jejich vývoj v České republice ve sledovaném období. Následně je věnována pozornost definici retailových podniků a jednotlivých mikroekonomických ukazatelů, respektive poměrových ukazatelů běžně využívaných ve finanční analýze. Na závěr je provedena samotná analýza a porovnání vybraných mikro a makroekonomických ukazatelů. Pozornost je věnována hlavně těm, u kterých se dá závislost logicky očekávat. Zjištěné jsou vzájemné korelace mezi tempem vývoje HDP a rentabilitou aktiv, mezi státním dluhem a celkovou zadlužeností firem a mezi nezaměstnaností a průměrnou mzdou.

Abstract:

The objective of the thesis „The relationship between the development of macroeconomic indicators and the development of retail businesses in Czech Republic“ is the comparison of development of individual macroeconomic and microeconomic indicators and expression of the interdependence between them. Firstly, the theoretical aspects of individual macroeconomic indicators are explained and subsequently, the development of these in Czech republic in the monitored period is mentioned. Following, the focus is oriented on definition of retail companies and individual microeconomic indicators, or ratio indicators usually used in financial analysis. Lastly, the analysis and comparison of selected micro and macroeconomic indicators are performed. Focus is mainly on the ones, where the correlation can be logically expected. Identified are the correlations between GDP growth and return of assets, between state debt and overall indebtedness of companies and between unemployment and average salaries.
