Position and fuction of calculations in company controlling

Abstract:

Prosperita a úspěšnost podniku na trhu závisí značně na jeho schopnosti se přizpůsobovat neustále se měnícím podmínkám trhu. Je třeba znát veškeré děje v podniku, jejich důvody a dopady. K tomu slouží controlling, jehož základním pilířem je plánování, kontrola a řízení. Účinným nástrojem je efektivní řízení manažerského účetnictví za pomoci nákladového účetnictví, které se neobejde bez kalkulací. Téma kalkulací je velmi aktuální, neboť na správně sestavených kalkulací stojí kvalita controllingu ve firmě. V teoretické části diplomové práce je představen controlling, jeho funkce, manažerské a nákladové účetnictví spolu s kalkulacemi a jejich metodami, které jsou pro efektivní řízení podniku nezbytné. Smyslem je představit metodu Standardních nákladů, která je používána ve společnosti Black & Decker. Cílem je porovnat její fungování v praxi oproti teorii a zhodnotit, zda právě tato metoda je pro vybraný podnik vhodná, zda poskytuje kompletní a kvalitní informace pro rozhodovací proces. Tomu se věnuje celá praktická část této diplomové práce. V závěru jsou shrnuty jednotlivé poznatky, jejich vyhodnocení a potvrzení hypotézy, že v podniku, který využívá kalkulace, je controlling schopen efektivně plnit své funkce.

Abstract:

Company prosperity and success on a market depends greatly on its ability to adapt to constantly changing market conditions. It is necessary to know all happenings in the business, their causes and incidences. This is controlling, which is the pillar of planning, control and management. The effective management of managerial accounting with the help of cost accounting is an effective tool. The cost accounting cannot be done without calculations. A topic of the calculations is very actual, because the controlling quality in the company is built on properly set up calculations. The controlling, its function, managemment and cost accounting is presented in theoretical part of this work together with calculations and their methods, which are necessary for an operating management The purpose is to present a standard cost method, which is used in the Black & Decker. The target is to compare its operation in practice against theory, and to appraise whether this method is suitable for the selected company, if provides full and quality informations for a decision-making process. All practical part of my thesis is attended to this. The particular knowledges are summarized in the conclusion, its evaluation and the hypothesis confirmation that in the company, which uses the calculations, is controlling able to meet its functions effectively.
