Effective Factors in Treatment of Eating Disorders

Abstract:

Diplomová práce Účinné faktory v léčbě poruch příjmu potravy prezentuje výsledky výzkumu, jehož hlavním cílem bylo zjistit, jaké účinné faktory se nejvíce uplatňují v léčbě poruch příjmu potravy a zda jsou některé z nich pro tato onemocnění charakteristické. V rámci výzkumu pak byla také položena otázka, zda v souvislosti s těmito faktory existuje rozdíl mezi pacientkami s mentální anorexií a mentální bulimií. Samotný výzkumný vzorek tvořilo 12 pacientek, 7 s diagnózou mentální anorexie a 5 s diagnózou mentální bulimie. S těmito pacientkami byly provedeny polostrukturované rozhovory a data byla následně zpracovávána pomocí kvalitativní metody zakotvené teorie. Ve výsledku bylo abstrahováno 5 hlavních kategorií účinných faktorů, které obsahují koncepty, jejichž příkladem může být koncept hranic. Kromě empirické části, kde je popsán výzkum, pak práce obsahuje část teoretickou, kde je poskytnut základní přehled problematiky poruch příjmu potravy a účinných faktorů v psychoterapii.

Abstract:

In the diploma thesis Effective factors in treatment of eating disorders are presented results of a research mainly aimed to find out which effective factors are important in treatment of eating disorders and if some of them are typical for these disorders. Another question which was put forward in the research was if there are any differences between the patients with anorexia and bulimia nervosa considering these factors. The research sample consisted of 12 patients, 7 of them were diagnosed with anorexia nervosa and 5 of them were diagnosed with bulimia nervosa. With these patients semi-structured interviews were conducted. The obtained data were analyzed using the grounded theory. Eventually 5 main categories of effective factors were abstracted. These categories included various concepts, for example the concept of boundaries. Apart from the empirical part of the thesis, which describes the research, there is also a theoretical part where the overview the subjects of eating disorders and effective factors in psychotherapy is provided.
