Práce zkoumá historii a vývoj filmového média formátu 16mm. Představuje audiovizuální umění, jednotlivé umělecké směry, které díky tomuto médiu vznikly, a jejich představitele. Práce se pokouší definovat a kategorizovat umělecké elementy tohoto média. Popisuje ústup analogových médií před médii digitálními a snahu o jejich záchranu. This thesis examines the history and evolution of 16mm film format. It introduces audiovisual art pieces, particular art movements that emerged because of this medium and specific artists. It also tries to define and categorize the artistic elements of this medium and describe the decline of analog media in the rise of the digital, as well as the attempts for their preservation.
