Legionary literature in the past and in the present day

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce se zabývá dřívější a současnou legionářskou literaturou. Práce pojednává o proměně recepce legionářské literatury v kontextu vývoje české literatury od meziválečného období 20. století až do současnosti. První část práce se soustředí na vznik československých dobrovolnických jednotek a jejich působení na ruském území až do vypuknutí občanské války po bolševické revoluci roku 1917. Druhá část práce se věnuje analýze dvou titulů s legionářskou tematikou, ve kterých jsou patrné dobové události. Cílem této práce je porovnat proměnu recepce legionářské literatury s rozdílem téměř devadesáti let.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis deals with the past and contemporary legionary literature. The thesis focuses on transformation of reception of legionary literature in the context of the development of Czech literature from the period of time between two World Wars to the present day. The first part of the thesis concentrates on development of Czechoslovakian voluntary troops and their activity in the Russian territory until the beginning of civil war, which came after Bolshevik Revolution in 1917. The second part of the thesis pursues the analysis of two works with legionary topic, in which events of that time are apparent. The goal of this thesis is to compare change of reception of legionary literature within the period of ninety years.
