Museum exhibition in the South Moravian Region after 1989

Abstract:

Ve své bakalářské práci jsem analyzovala výstavní činnost Městského muzea a galerie Knížecí dům Moravský Krumlov, Muzea Města Brna, Jihomoravského muzea ve Znojmě a Muzea Blanska v období 1990–2010 pomocí smíšeného kvalitativně-kvantitativního výzkumu. Při kvantitativním šetření jsem vycházela ze soupisů výstav jednotlivých muzeí a hledala jsem společné znaky v tematickém zaměření a délce trvání výstav. V následujícím kvalitativním výzkumu jsem provedla rozhovory s muzejními pracovníky na téma „muzeum a změna“, „vztah s veřejností“, „technické a finanční dispozice“ a „návštěvnost“, které měly rozšířit informace o výstavní činnosti muzeí získané studiem dokumentů.

Abstract:

In my bachelor thesis I have analysed exhibition activities of The Municipal Museum and Gallery Knížecí dům in Moravský Krumlov, Brno City Museum, the South-Moravian Museum in Znojmo and the Museum of Blansko in the period between 1990 and 2010 by means of mixed qualitative-quantitative research. The quantitative research phase was based on the registers of exhibitions of the individual museums trying to find common features in the topic focus and duration of the exhibitions. In the following qualitative research phase I accomplished interviews with museum staff on topics of “Museum and Change”, “Public Relations”, “Technical and Financial Dispositions” and “Attendance”, which were supposed to spread information about the exhibition activities of the museums gathered by studying the documents.
