Abstract:

Práce se zabývá studiem vysoké školy v období střední dospělosti. Zkoumá dospělé středního věku, kteří mají děti, partnera, chodí do zaměstnání a studují vysokou školu v kombinované formě studia. Vychází z předpokladu, že tito dospělí vykonávají sociální role typické pro období střední dospělosti a také roli studenta. Cílem práce je zjistit, jak tito dospělí vnímají souběh svých typických sociálních rolí a role studenta. Práce se skládá z teoretické a empirické části. Teoretická část popisuje koncept sociálních rolí včetně konfliktů rolí, typické sociální role v současné společnosti, období středního věku a roli dospělého ve formálním vzdělávání. Empirická část přibližuje metodologii a výsledky realizovaného kvalitativního výzkumného šetření.

Abstract:

This master thesis deals with a theme of middle aged university students. This theses examines adults in their middle-age, who have children, partners, do their jobs and study at university in the combined form of study. This work is mainly based on the assumption that these adults perform social roles typical for the period of middle-age and also perform the role of the university students. The main goal of this theses is to find out how these adults feel about concurrence of their typical social roles and the role of the student. The work consists of theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part describes the concept of social roles including role conflicts, the typical social role in contemporary society, the period of middle-age and an adult role in formal education. The empirical part describes the methodology and results of the realized qualitative research.
