The detection of micro-organisms in the cerebrospinal fluid and the detection of the sensibility to antibiotics

Abstract:

Tato bakalářská práce pojednává o nejčastějších infekcích nervového systému. Představuje mozkomíšní mok, jeho vznik, funkci a způsoby odběru. Dále jsou popsány metody, které zle využít pro průkaz bakteriálních nebo virových původců infekcí nervového systému, antibakteriální látky a metody stanovení citlivosti k těmto látkám. V praktické části je pak objasněno zasílání vzorků mozkomíšního moku na mikrobiologické vyšetření a stanovena citlivost vybraného souboru bakteriálních kmenů Streptococcus pneumoniae k antibakteriálním látkám pomocí diskové difuzní metody a E-testem.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis discusses the most common infections of nervous system. It represents the cerebrospinal fluid, the formation, the function and methods of collection. Furthermor, there are described methods which can be used for detection of bacterial or viral agents of nervous system infection, antibiotics and methods for determining sensibility to these substances. In the practical part is explained sending samples of cerebrospinal fluid for microbiological examination and determined the sensitivity of the selected file of bacterial strains of Streptococcus pneumoniae to antibiotics using the discus diffusion method and E -test.
