Electronic tolling system for vehicles over 3.5 tons

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se ve své teoretické části věnuje historii vybírání mýtných poplatků, technologiím výběru, kdy jednotlivé technologie podrobněji rozvádí včetně jejich výhod/nevýhod a vzájemné interoperability, především se pak zaměřuje na princip výběru mýtného v ČR. Součástí teoretické části závěrečné práce je také legislativní podklad společně se schématem zodpovědných institucí a jednotlivých prvků kontroly a vymezení základních pojmů v dané problematice. V praktické části se závěrečná práce zabývá technologiemi používanými v zahraničí, Evropskou službou elektronického mýtného. V kontextu s Evropskou službou elektronického mýtného se nám objevuje pojem interoperabilita zmíněný a principielně popsaný v teoretické části, který bude v praktické části více popsán i z uživatelského hlediska. Součástí praktické části závěrečné práce je rovněž prozkoumání nedostatků (rizik) u palubních jednotek a mýtných bran vypozorovaných z uživatelského hlediska s možnými návrhy na jejich eliminaci.

Abstract:

This Thesis, in its theoretical part, describes the history of collecting the tolls and the technology of its collection, where every each technology is closely elaborated, including their advantages / disadvantages and mutual interoperability, and is especially focused on the principle of toll collection in the Czech Republic. The theoretical part includes also legislative basis together with the responsible institutions scheme and individual elements of the control and the definition of the foundational concepts in this field. The applicative part of this Thesis deals with the technologies used abroad, The European Electronic Toll Service. The concept of interoperability formerly mentioned and described in the theoretical part, appears now in the context of The European Electronic Toll Service and is further described in more details and also from a user perspective. The applicative part of this Thesis includes also exploration of the handicaps (risks) of OBU units and toll gates, revealed from the users point of view, with possible suggestions for their elimination.
