Presidential Powers

Abstract:

Tato diplomová práce se ve své první části zabývá vymezením postavení prezidenta jako hlavy státu v našem ústavním systému. Druhá část práce se věnuje vybraným pravomocem prezidenta republiky se zaměřením na jejich problematiku a následnými názory na její řešení. V závěrečné části práce jsou rozebrány pravomoci prezidenta ve vztahu k moci soudní, a to zejména oh-ledně jmenování soudců do jejich funkce se zaměřením na možnost prezi-denta republiky daného soudce do funkce nejmenovat a následky spojené s tímto aktem.

Abstract:

The first part of the diploma thesis deals with status of the president as a head of state in our constitutional system. The second part of the thesis is about specific presidential powers focusing on the crucial issues concerning them with my opinion on solutions. The last part of my thesis is focused on presidential powers in relation to the judicial power with its specifical issues such as appointment of the judges with the possibility of refusal of perform-ing an appointment to the individual judge and its consequences.
