Consumption and savings of Czech households in 2015–2020

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce na téma „Spotřeba a úspory českých domácností v letech 2015–2020“ se zabývá změnami celkové výše a změnou struktury vrámci spotřeby a úspor českých domácností v letech 2015–2020, které se změnily díky dopadu pandemie COVID-19. V první části této bakalářské práce jsou pomocí literární rešerše objasněny klíčové teorie vysvětlující výši příjmu domácností a teorie rozhodování domácností o výši úspor a spotřeby. Cílem práce je potvrdit výzkumné hypotézy týkající se příjmu, úspor a spotřeby domácností a objasnit jaké makroekonomické příčiny, měly dopad na změnu v rámci trendu, u těchto výzkumných hypotéz. Výzkumné hypotézy jsou stanoveny na základě sekundárních dat, z ČSÚ, Ministerstva financí a tyto data jsou rovněž použity v regresní analýze, při modelaci trendu. Při analýze dat, bylo zjištěno, že příjmy domácností a jejich úspory se v letech 2015–2020 zvýšily a rovněž se změnila, i struktura a trend v rámci spotřeby. V závěru práce je pak možné najít shrnutí zjištěných poznatků a limity této práce.

Abstract:

The bachelor's thesis "Consumption and savings of Czech households in 2015–2020" reflects the changes in the total amount and the changes in the structure of consumption and savings of Czech households in 2015–2020, which has changed due to the impact of the COVID–19 pandemic. In the first part, based on literature research, the key theories explaining the level of income of households and the theory of household decision-making that influences the amount of savings and consumption can be found. The aim of the bachelor's thesis was to confirm the research hypotheses regarding the income, savings and consumption of households and clarify what macroeconomic causes had an impact on the change in the trend of these research hypotheses. The research hypotheses were based on the secondary data, from the CZSO and Ministry of Finance of the Czech Republic and these data are also used in the regression analysis and then in the trend modelling. While analysing the data, it was found that household incomes and their savings increased between the years 2015–2020, and the structure and trend of consumption has also changed. The bachelor's thesis then concludes with a summary of the findings and the limits of this thesis.
