Influence of Simulation Training of Paramedics and Other Non-Medical Students on Key Competencies

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce se zabývá problematikou simulační výuky u studentů oboru zdravotnický záchranář a dalších nelékařských oborů,. Skládá se z teoretické a praktické části. V teoretické části je popisováno vzdělávání zdravotnických záchranářů, jejich kompetence a uplatnění v České republice. Další kapitola je věnována problematice výuky v rámci vysokoškolského vzdělávání, zabývá se formami výuky a jejím hodnocením. Další kapitola je zaměřena na problematiku simulační výuky v akutní medicíně. Je zde popsána historie i současnost simulačního vzdělávání, strategie přípravy simulačních scénářů a průběh debriefingu. Poslední kapitola popisuje Simulační centrum Zdravotně sociální fakulty Jihočeské univerzity v Českých Budějovicích, kde byl realizován průzkum. Praktická část je zaměřena na organizaci a realizaci spojené simulační výuky ve studijních oborech Zdravotnický záchranář, Porodní asistentka, Sestra pro intenzivní péči a Pediatrické ošetřovatelství. Data byla získána realizací diskuzních rozhovorů v rámci Focus groups. Výsledkem bakalářské práce je doporučení možnosti realizace spojené simulační výuky v nelékařských oborech.

Abstract:

This bachelor's thesis deals with the issue of simulation education for students of paramedical sciences and other non-medical disciplines. The thesis is divided into two parts, a theoretical part and a practical part. The theoretical part describes the education of paramedics, their skills and the scope of their work in practice in the Czech Republic. The next chapter examines the issue of teaching in higher education and forms of teaching and assesses them. The next chapter focusses on the topic of simulation training in emergency medicine. The history of and current situation in simulation education is described here, including strategies of preparing simulation scenarios, and the debriefing process. The last chapter describes the Simulation Centre of the Faculty of Health and Social Sciences of the University of South Bohemia in České Budějovice, where the survey was conducted. The practical part looks at the organisation and implementation of simulation education in the Paramedics, Midwife, Intensive Care Unit Nurse, and Paediatric Nursing degree programmes. The data was obtained by conducting focus group discussions. The bachelor's thesis ultimately recommends implementing combined simulation education in non-medical disciplines.
