The Second Resistance Movement in Pardubice and Chrudim Regions

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zpracovat tzv. druhý odboj na Pardubicku, především zmapovat spolupráci domácích odbojových organizací s paravýsadkovými skupinami. Hlavním záměrem bude podat nový pohled na události v regionu, které jsou často zakryty ideologickými klišé dobové odborné literatury. Vedle začlenění do širšího kontextu bude akcentována především činnost místních odbojářů a její význam pro další odbojové akce. Práce bude vycházet z analýzy dostupných pramenů a literatury. Jedná se o prameny doposud většinou nevydané, z fondů SOK v Zámrsku, SOkA v Pardubicích, ale také např. ze Svazu protifašistických bojovníků. Cenným pramenem pro tuto práci budou také vzpomínky účastníků odboje.

Abstract:

The aim of this thesis is to cover the subject of so called Second resistance in the area of the region Pardubice, above all to describe and analyze the cooperation of local resistance organisation with paradrop-based resistance groups. The leading motive of this thesis is to provide its reader with a new, different perspective on the WWII events in the region, because the interpretation of the resistance history is often contaminated with the ideological clichés coming from the scholarly literature of the period. The resistance of the region Pardubice is to be situated within a wider context and its significance for other combat actions will be further evaluated.The thesis will utter the analysis of the available primary and secondary sources from that era coming from locations such as SOK funds in Zamrsk, SOkA in Pardubice,and also from the League of Anti-fascist Combatants (Svaz protifašistických bojovníků). Some of these sources have not been yet published elsewhere. The reminiscance of the contemporary witnesses will also provide a valuable source of information.
