Cílem práce je porovnání bojkotů z hlediska jejich formy, ohlasu v mezinárodním prostředí a případné změně bilaterálních vztahů mezi USA a pořadatelskou zemí nejprve SSSR a poté Čínou. Teoretické ukotvení má práce v rovině sportovní diplomacie. Abstract:
The aim of the thesis is to compare the boycotts in terms of their form, their resonance in the international environment and the possible change in bilateral relations between the US and the organizing country, first the USSR and then China.
