Patient Compliance after Kidney Transplant

Abstract:

Délka a kvalita funkce štěpu transplantované ledviny závisí také z velké části na dobré spolupráci pacienta. Imunosupresivní léčba je nezbytným předpokladem úspěšné transplantace orgánu. Nespolupráce pacienta je častou příčinou selhání léčby - ztráty funkce transplantované ledviny. V teoretické části se pouze okrajově zmiňuji o častějších onemocněních ledvin a navazuji rozsáhlejší problematikou transplantací ledvin. V praktické části se zaměřuji na kvantitativní šetření pomocí dotazníkové metody. Respondenti jsou pacienti po transplantaci ledviny v ambulantním sledování. Otázky v dotazníku jsou zaměřené na znalost vlastní imunosupresivní léčby a některých specifik po transplantaci ledviny. Zjišťovala jsem informovanost pacientů a výstupem mé práce je zlepšení edukace v problémových oblastech vyplývajících z dotazníku.

Abstract:

The duration and quality of the function of the transplanted kidney graft also depends, to a large degree, on the good co-operation of the patient. Immunosuppressive treatment is an essential prerequisite of a successful organ transplant. The patient?s non-cooperation is a frequent cause of the treatment failure - loss of the transplanted kidney function. The practical part of the thesis focuses on the quantitative research by means of a questionnaire. The respondents are patients who have had a kidney transplant and are monitored by out-patient clinics. The questions in the questionnaire concentrate on their knowledge of the actual immunosuppressive treatment and some specifics after the kidney transplant. I was establishing the level of patients? awareness and the output of my thesis is the improvement of education in some problematic areas highlighted by the questionnaire.
