Selected types of diophantine equations and their numerical use

Abstract:

Cílem mé bakalářské práce byl popis historicky objevených typů diofantických rovnic a osvojení základních metod jejich řešení. Práce je rozdělena do čtyř kapitol. V první kapitole jsme se zabývali Diofantem Alexandrijským a jeho pojetím řešení této problematiky. Druhá kapitola byla věnována lineárním diofantickým rovnicím, na něž vedly jednoduché slovní úlohy. V dalších kapitolách byly popsány speciální typy diofantických rovnic, jako Pellova rovnice, zobecněná Pellova rovnice, Pythagorejská rovnice a byla nastíněna Velká Fermatova věta. V rámci kvalifikační práce bylo popsáno mnoho metod řešení slovních úloh vedoucích na uvedené typy diofantických rovnic. Pokládala jsem si také otázku, jaká věková skupina má vhodný matematický aparát k získání množiny všech řešení zadaných příkladů.

Abstract:

The aim of my thesis was to describe historically discovered types of diophantine equations and to master basic methods of solving them. The work is divided into four chapters. In the first chapter we dealt Diophantus of Alexandria and his conception of solving this problem. The second chapter was devoted to linear diophantine equations, which results lot of verbal tasks in everyday life. In other chapters were described special types of diophantine equations, such as Pell's equation, generalized Pell's equation, the Pythagorean equation and Fermat's Last Theorem. Within theses have been described many methods of solving word problems leading to these types of diophantine equations. I also considered the question what age group is able to obtain a set of solving examples.
