Management of social work in the hands of men

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se věnuje tématu řízení sociální práce v rukou mužů. Práce je zaměřena na roli mužů v sociální oblasti, na genderovou segregaci, se kterou souvisí bariéry mezi rovnocenným postavením ženy a muže na trhu práce. Diplomová práce identifikuje gender v sociální oblasti, roli manažerů a sociálních pracovníků, interpretuje typologii jednotlivých přístupů. Cílem práce je identifikovat osobnost vedoucího pracovníka v sociální sféře, popsat styl vedení organizace a lidí v návaznosti na genderovou problematiku. Co se týče výzkumu, na základě povahy zkoumaného tématu byla zvolena kvalitativní metoda sběru dat. Z výsledků vyplývá, že vedoucí pracovníci si jsou vědomi konkrétních genderových problémů v sociální oblasti. Vnímají nedostatečný pokles genderové segregace, co se týče personálního obsazení v jednotlivých organizací, kdy z velké většiny tvoří personál ženy. Dále si jsou vědomi výhod, které jsou spojeny s jejich pohlavím a vedoucí rolí v sociální práci.

Abstract:

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of management of social work in the hands of men. The thesis focuses on the role of men in the social field, on the gender segregation, which is associated with barriers between equal status of women and men in the labor market. The thesis identifies gender in the social field, the role of managers and social workers, and interprets the typology of individual approaches. The aim of the thesis is to identify the personality of a manager in the social sphere, to describe the style of leadership of the organization and people in relation to gender issues. As far as research is concerned, the qualitative method of data collection was chosen based on the nature of the researched topic. The results show that executives are aware of specific gender problems in the social field. They perceive an insufficient decrease in gender segregation in terms of staffing of individual organizations, where the vast majority of staff are women. They are also aware of the "benefits" associated with their gender and their leading role in social work.
