Introduction of family meetings - clients, their families and workers in a home with a special regime

Abstract:

Tato práce je zaměřená na seniory s demencí, jejich rodinné příslušníky a pobytovou sociální službu domov se zvláštním režimem. Situace, kdy nastupuje klient do domova se zvláštním režimem, je velmi zátěžová nejen pro klienta, ale i pro jeho rodinu. Po celou dobu pobytu v DZR mohou zažívat rodinní příslušníci několik krizových situací. Mohou to být situace spojené se zhoršováním zdravotního stavu klienta, se závěrem života klienta i se smiřováním se s jeho smrtí. Péče o klienta s demencí v domově se zvláštním režimem spočívá také v péči o rodinné příslušníky klientů. Základem je informovanost rodinných příslušníků o demenci a jejich možných projevech, o metodách a konceptech, které jsou využívány v domově se zvláštním režimem a také o možnostech jejich zapojení do péče o jejich blízkého. Zapojení rodinných příslušníků do péče je prospěšné pro klienta, rodinné příslušníky i pro personál domova se zvláštním režimem.

Abstract:

This work is focused on seniors with dementia, their family members and residential social service home with a special regime. The situation when a client enters a home with a special regime is very stressful not only for the client, but also for his family. Throughout their stay in the DZR, family members may experience several crisis situations. These can be situations associated with the deterioration of the client's health condition, with the end of the client's life and with reconciling with his death.Care for a client with dementia in a home with a special regime also consists of care for family members of clients. It is based on the awareness of family members about dementia and its possible manifestations, about the methods and concepts that are used in a home with a special regime, and also about the possibilities of their involvement in the care of their loved one. The involvement of family members in the care is beneficial for the client, family members and the staff of the home with a special regime.
