Consumer protection as clients of banks

Abstract:

Cílem práce je zjistit současný stav ochrany spotřebitele jako klienta banky a porovnat přístup a postupy v ochraně tohoto segmentu dvou různých bank -- České spořitelny a.s. a mBank. První kapitola je věnována problematice ochrany spotřebitele, charakterizuje základní pojmy a uvádí hlavní právní předpisy a angažované subjekty. V dalších kapitolách jsou zkoumány hlavní důvody proč chránit klienta banky a cíle ochrany klienta, základní prvky ochrany klienta - bankovní tajemství, ochrana osobních údajů, informační otevřenost a pojištění vkladů. V poslední kapitole jsou popsány konkrétní problémy klientů a to se zaměřením na jednotlivé produkty banky a porovnány přístupy ČS, a.s. a mBank.

Abstract:

The goal of this work is to determine the current state of consumer protection as clients of banks and compare the approach and procedures to protect this segment of the two different banks - Czech Savings Bank and mBank. The first chapter is devoted to the issue of consumer protection, and describes the basic concepts of key legislation, and engaged subjects. The next chapters examine the main reasons why banks protect the client's objectives of protecting the client, the basic features of the client - bank secrecy, privacy, openness of information and deposit insurance. The last chapter describes the specific problems of clients, focusing on individual products of banks and comparing approaches of ČS and mBank.
