The specificities of shared accommodation in relation to the choice of local fees in selected European capitals

Abstract:

Diplomová práce se zabývá problematikou sdíleného ubytování ve vztahu výběru místních poplatků ve vybraných evropských metropolích. Do výzkumu jsou zařazena tato města: Berlín, Praha, Vídeň, Bratislava a Varšava. Cílem diplomové práce je posoudit, jak vybraná evropská města přistupují k regulaci sdíleného ubytování a k zefektivnění výběru místních poplatků od těchto poskytovatelů ubytování. Práce je rozdělena do tří hlavních části: teoretická, praktická a návrhová. První část se zaměřuje na vysvětlení základních pojmů jako je sdílená ekonomika, místní poplatky, digitální platformy, dále popisuje rozdíl mezi tradičním a sdíleným ubytováním. Druhá část se věnuje samotnému výzkumu a analýze vybraných evropských metropolí z hlediska aktuálního přístupu k sdílenému ubytování a výběru místních poplatků. Vybrané metropole jsou analyzovány na základě několika metod, a to pomocí komparace nebo průzkumu primárních a sekundárních dat. Třetí část, tedy návrhová část, uvede hlavní přínosy, návrhy a doporučení, které by měly vést k pozitivní změně zjištěného stavu.

Abstract:

The Master's Dissertation deals with the issue of shared accommodation in relation to the choice of local fees in selected European capitals. Into research are included these cities: Berlin, Prague, Vienna, Bratislava and Warsaw. The aim of the master's dissertation is to review, how selected European capitals approach regulation of shared accommodation and to streamline the collection of local fees from these accommodation providers. The thesis is divided into three main parts: theoretical, practical and design. The first part focuses on explaining basic concepts such as shared economy, local fees, digital platforms, and further describes the difference between traditional and shared accommodation. The second part deals with the research and analysis of selected European cities in terms of current access to shared accommodation and the collection of local fees. Selected metropolises are analyzed on the basis of several methods, using a comparison or survey of primary and secondary data. The third part, the design part, lists the main benefits, suggestions and recommendations that should lead to a positive change in the identified situation.
