Modern management methods and their use in management of municipalities and cities

Abstract:

Diplomová práce je zaměřena na uplatňování moderních manažerských metod při řízení obcí a měst. Práce je rozdělena na dvě části, a to část teoretickou a praktickou. V teoretické části je nejdříve řešena historie managementu, rozdílu mezi vedením veřejné správy a podniku a následně moderním manažerským metodám. V praktické části je řešeno město Kyjov, kde jsou popsány jeho nejdůležitější oblasti a provedená finanční analýza města. Následně jsou pomocí dotazníkové metody a rozhovorů zjištěny a ověřeny metody řízení a manažerské přístupy v okolních městech a v Kyjově.

Abstract:

The diploma thesis is focused on the application of modern management methods in the management of municipalities and cities. The work is divided into two parts, the theoretical and practical part. The theoretical part first addresses the history of management, the difference between public administration and enterprise management and then modern management methods. The practical part deals with the city of Kyjov, which describes its most important areas and performed a financial analysis of the city. Subsequently, management methods and managerial approaches in the surrounding towns and Kyjov are identified and verified using a questionnaire method and interviews.
