Práce se zabývá rolí královské rodiny v dnešní Británii. V úvodu je nastíněn vývoj britské monarchie ve 20. století a důležitost královské rodiny v tomto období. Následně je popsán rod Windsorů, a především dvě výrazné osobnosti - král Eduard VIII a Princezna Diana.
