The Roots of Techno Music in The Czech Republic (A Series of Interviews for Full Moon Magazine)

Abstract:

Bakalářská práce Počátky techna u nás – soubor publicistických rozhovorů pro hudební časopis Full Moon si klade za úkol vytvořit sérii interview s pěti lidmi, kteří se zasloužili o vznik a rozvoj techno scény v České republice. Rozhovory jsou publikovatelné v hudebním magazínu Full Moon, který se zaměřuje na alternativní hudební žánry. Práce se skládá z několika kapitol. První, teoretická část na základě odborné literatury definuje publicistiku a znaky publicistického interview. Po ní následuje metodologický oddíl, v němž autor představuje užité metody při sběru dat o cílovém periodiku, časopise Full Moon. Následná kontextuální kapitola stručně popisuje vývoj elektronické hudby a především žánru techna v České republice. Další část představuje hlavní specifika časopisu Full Moon a znaky rozhovoru, které jsou pro něj typické. Poslední, tvůrčí část, obsahuje pět rozhovorů, které reflektují poznatky z předešlých kapitol. Každý z rozhovorů je doplněn o kritickou reflexi autora.

Abstract:

This bachelor thesis, entitled The Roots of Techno Music in The Czech Republic - A Collection of Interviews for Full Moon Magazine, is comprised of a series of interviews with five people who are responsible for the creating and developing the techno music scene in the Czech Republic. The interviews are designed to be published in Full Moon Magazine, which focuses on alternative music genres. This thesis consists of several chapters. The first, theoretical part defines journalism and the main features of a journalistic interview in relation to scientific works. In the following methodological section, the author introduces methods for obtaining data about the target journal, which is Full Moon Magazine. The subsequent, contextual chapter briefly describes the development of electronic dance music in the Czech Republic, focusing on the genre of techno. The next, empirical part concerns Full Moon Magazine and the main features of its interviews. The final, creative part contains five interviews that reflects the main findings of the previous chapters. Each interview is accompanied by a critical reflection of the author of the thesis.
