Comparison culture policy of Czech repubic and Finland

Abstract:

Diplomová práce srovnává kulturu a kulturní politiku dvou zemí, České republiky a Finska. Nejprve stručně charakterizuje vývoj kultury, jazyka a národní identity obou států. Pokračuje vývojem kulturní politiky a popisem současného stavu kulturní politiky. Přehledně zobrazuje cíle a úkoly, které si současné vlády daly v oblasti kultury a kulturní politiky. Druhá část práce se zaměřuje už na různé zdroje financování kultury – od centrální vlády, regionální orgány a místní samosprávu. Přináší také přehled možností financování kultury z mezinárodní zdrojů a to především z Evropské unie; a ze soukromého sektoru. Závěr práce je věnován srovnání vládních výdajů na kulturu, zaměstnanost v kulturním sektoru, návštěvnost vybraných kulturních institucí v České republice a Finsku, ale i výdajů domácností obou zemí na kulturu a kulturní služby.

Abstract:

This thesis compares the culture and culture politics of two countries, the Czech Republic and Finland. Briefly describes the development of culture, language and national identity of both countries. Continued with development of cultural policy and describing the current condition of cultural policy. Clearly shows the objectives and tasks, which give the present government in the field of culture and cultural policy. The second part focuses it on different sources of financing of culture - from the central government, regional and local authorities. It also brings an overview of possible funding sources from international culture, especially from the European Union and the private sector. The conclusion is focused on comparison of government spending on culture, employment in the cultural sector, the attendance of selected cultural institutions in the Czech Republic and Finland, as well as household expenditure in both countries in culture and cultural services.
